Old Trafford Stadium
As every visitor knows, a serious investment in Old Trafford is long overdue. United fans used to brag that we had the best stadium in the country but sadly that has not been true for some time now.
MUST urge the Club to show ambition in its plans for OT but also to move forward only in full consultation with fans. Every supporter, especially regular match-going fans, should get their chance to have their say on the key questions, including whether we should build a new stadium immediately to the ground or to upgrade on the same site.
We also urge the Club to engage with fans on how any new stadium could be financed. Due to the debt the Glazers have already burdened on United, the prospect of more is unappealing, and we urge the club to look at new equity releases instead. One source of funding we have always highlighted is in fact from supporters themselves - millions of whom would be willing to buy supporter shares which would both create funding and allow supporters to begin to build an ownership stake in the club we love.
