Appointment of Michael Carrick as interim manager

Manchester United fans everywhere will welcome Michael Carrick’s appointment as interim manager.

As a player, Michael was a fine servant of the club who wore the shirt well, with intelligence and dedication. As a coach, he impressed widely demonstrating many of those same qualities.

Managing Manchester United is a difficult job. Doing so an interim basis perhaps even more so. But the fans will be loud and united behind him, starting with the derby on Saturday.
